Fair Elections Action Team
The Fair Elections Action Team is committed to advocating for fair elections by promoting:
- New state legislation that mandates a non-partisan process for drawing fair legislative and congressional district boundaries
- Public understanding of redistricting and awareness of the need for new legislation
- Voter registration
- Get Out the Vote efforts
- Census participation
Current activities include:
- Hosting a public forum about redistricting in the fall
- Meeting with area legislators and candidates to promote passage of new legislation in the 2019 session
- Supporting other groups working on voter registration, GOTV, and the census
New participants are welcome! For more information, please come to an Indivisible Bemidji meeting on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Beltrami Electric meeting room.
